Hello, I’m Kirstin – thank you for visiting my page.
I offer small group workshops and 1-1 lessons in either Literacy or Numeracy. I am passionate about providing exactly what is needed for your child to learn successfully at their own pace, with no limits on the fun we will have along the way!

I graduated with First Class Honours in 2018 in Accounting and Finance before undertaking my PGDE in Primary Teaching in 2020. I am a fully qualified Primary Teacher working in Aberdeen. I started tutoring one evening a week to help a wee girl in my class who believed she couldn’t read and would never learn. I loved having the ability to respond to her exactly as she needed and taking each step at her own pace. I believe that every child should experience the joy of that ‘ah ha!’ moment and feel the magic of learning - and conquering - new skills.

Our workshops are all about making learning fun and exciting! Whether it's Literacy or Numeracy, these small group sessions are a chance for learners to explore new skills together, share ideas and celebrate their progress. We include active learning strategies with games, activities and hands-on challenges to keep things lively. Small groups mean I can still make sure everyone gets the attention they need. It’s a great way for kids to build confidence, help each other out and see just how much they can achieve when they work together. With a focus on individual progress, not pressure, these sessions are perfect for learners who love to explore in a creative, social setting. Literacy Workshops
A skills based workshop with a focus on reading, writing and storytelling. Small groups ensure I can respond to individual learner’s needs whilst supporting idea sharing and collaboration with peers. Come with us on a journey of discovery and make some new friends along the way!
Numeracy Workshops
With a focus on place value and number work, these workshops provide an opportunity to consolidate understanding of the four operations (+, -, x, ÷) using active learning strategies. Not a textbook in sight, just friends and fun!

Dedicated 1-1 lessons
I offer 1-1 lessons for both Literacy and Numeracy. These lessons provide tailored teaching and learning opportunities for the learners, along with immediate feedback during tasks. The learning is tailored to suit individual learning styles and can accommodate for additional support needs where required.
